This survey covers phishing attempts through advertising, emails, phone calls, text messages and websites, including both traditional and emerging phishing channels.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The results indicate that Hong Kong has the highest fraud rate among the 11 regions surveyed, with 45% of respondents saying they encounter scams \u201cevery day\u201d and 26% saying they encounter scams \u201c most weeks\u201d, significantly higher than other regions in Asia. Thailand, the country with the second highest frequency, had 16% people who said they encountered scams \u201cevery day\u201d and 30% people who said they encountered scams \u201cmost weeks,\u201d far ahead of Malaysia and Taiwan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In contrast, the frequency of fraud rates in the Philippines, Japan, Indonesia and China remains relatively low.
