Jackie Cheng: Solidarity is the ultimate key to fighting fraud

Jackie Cheng or Trinh Thang Phong is the co-founder and chairman of Gogolook and is currently Director of the Board of Directors of GASA. In the version Asia 2023 scam report, he stated: Solidarity is the ultimate weapon against fraud. This is also the operating motto of the company Anti-Phishing (CLD), calling on the community to protect themselves and everyone around them.

Since the beginning of this year, following Gogolook's partnership with GASA, we have redoubled our efforts to develop partnerships and disseminate anti-fraud best practices across Asia, as well as collaborate with European and American colleagues. We are steadfast in our belief that “unity” is at the core of our fight against fraud.

With over a decade of experience in the anti-fraud industry and partnerships with government agencies, corporations and civil society organizations from various countries, we are delighted that Gogolook, as founding member of GASA, honored to host the event Asia Anti-Fraud Conference Firstly. This summit brings together law enforcement agencies, representatives of multinational corporations, the
experts in the field of artificial intelligence, along with other experts from around the world. Our overall goal is to raise public awareness and vigilance about fraud, while also laying the foundation for future policy development and recommendations on fraud prevention and the application of artificial intelligence across the world. widespread

In this report, we collected first-hand data from nearly 20,000 respondents from 11 Asian regions, including Taiwan, Japan, Thailand, Malaysia, Philippines, Korea, Hong Kong, Singapore, Vietnam, China and Indonesia. By asking respondents to share their experiences with scammers over the past year, we were able to better understand the current landscape and how scammers operate in each region. This knowledge enables law enforcement to effectively conduct investigations, lawmakers to develop new laws, and stakeholders to accelerate the development of appropriate anti-fraud solutions.
